I saw him in the grass from like five feet away, and literally tackled the poor thing to grab him. He bit me at least 8 times. I really didn't think garter snakes could draw blood....turns out they certainly can. But I loved him.
My mom made me put him back in the forest after a few hours, along with all the others I'd caught. I didn't really have time to give him a real name, but I called him Green while I had him. Since he was so much brighter than what I'm used to garters looking like.

It's so cute!<3 I've never seen a garter snake in real life But I found a giant king snake (i think), once, and touched his tail. I have a baby ball python right now. c:
